The UK is making progress, but needs to step things up a gear to achieve Net Zero 2050. In 2018 emissions were 44% below 1990 levels, largely due to reductions in emissions from electricity generation. In 2019 the government delivered just 1 of 25 critical policies. Further investment in green technologies, infrastructure and carbon capture schemes is required to achieve these critical goals.
